I have been working within the Child Education field since 2009. In this time I have been fortunate enough to meet many lovely children and families. I have had the opportunity to work with all age groups from birth to five years, fostering the growth and development of the children and watching as they grow.
I currently hold my Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services and will soon be looking to commence my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I have a two year old son of my own and prior to commencing maternity leave I was fortunate enough to hold a very challenging role of 2IC in a very large centre which allowed me to gain experience and knowledge in all aspects of the childcare centre.
At Ormiston, we strive to form close bonds and relationships with our families and children. My staff and I work together to provide our children and families a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment. Our centre has also formed a partnership with the Ormiston State Primary School directly across the road which has enabled our centre the opportunity to participate in school activities.
When I am not at the centre, I enjoy spending quality time a home with my family and catching up with my friends.
My Name is Lauren Hanlon and I recently stood up as Centre Manager at Sunkids Ormiston.
I have been working in the Early Childhood industry for nine years and in this time I have completed my Certificate 3 and Diploma of Early childhood education and care. Throughout these years I have worked as an assistant and up to a senior educator, Assistant Manager and now Centre Manager.
I am very passionate about my chosen career and value early childhood education as the foundation for lifelong learning. I believe that each child is unique and should be viewed, respected and treated as such. And for that reason I whole heartedly believe in the Sunkids value that each child is a precious trust. I value the importance of providing and maintaining an optimum level of care and education for all children.
One aspect of my job that I value the most is meeting and welcoming families into our centre. I believe building strong partnerships with families is invaluable and respecting each family’s values and wishes is first and foremost.
